Kutch – the name brings to mind miles and miles of flat and arid land with very little sign of life all around. This deserted salt marsh, though, holds many many secrets that unravel themselves as you begin to explore the place. From galloping Indian Wild Asses (found nowhere else in the world) to creeks turned pink with tens of thousands of Flamingos to the skies being filled with crooning Cranes as they gather to roost for the evening to the enthralling puff-and-roll routine of the diminutive Stoliczka’s Bushchat….the wonders never cease.
Here we present 5 of the rarest wildlife experiences that we’ve come across over the past 5 years of Darter’s Wild West tour of Kutch…memories that will stay with us for a lifetime.
