As the monsoons loomed over coastal India in early June 2016, a small group of photography enthusiasts and nature lovers set off to the wondrous forests of the Western Ghats at Agumbe on a photography tour organized by Darter Photography.
Over the 3 days, we explored the forests around the campsite and photographed the amazing biodiversity – from bugs and beetles to frogs and snakes to scorpions and spiders to colourful fungi. And we trekked up a nearby hill to get a bird’s eye view of the area and witnessed a glorious sunset.
We’ve compiled the photographs from the tour, along with some notes about the sightings, into a tour highlights report. To know more about our Agumbe experience in June 2016, please download the entire tour highlights report from here.
All photographs in the tour highlights report have been photographed by participants on the tour. Here’s a group photograph to introduce you to the participants.
