Here is an image of lit up Amber Fort in Jaipur, against the colourful evening sky. The lights come up everyday after sunset hours, when it is the ideal time to capture the fort’s splendors.
Lack of sufficient light is one of the major challenges in making such images. Low lighting conditions result in slow shutter speeds, which in turn results in shaken photographs. The simple solution is to use a good tripod that holds the camera sturdy. But if you don’t have one, the next best option is to increase the ISO, which in turn helps you increase the shutter speeds.
In this case, I had not carried a tripod with me. So I increased the ISO to 500 to make this image.
