Wildlife photography is so addictive, probably because of the numerous surprises it throws at us. On a peaceful evening on the Bhadra Reservoir (on Darter’s River Tern Tour), we were watching a few Brahminy Kites go about their evening routine. Out of nowhere, this dragonfly decided to appear in front of one of the Kites and caught it by surprise. What ensued – the anticlimax – the dragonfly hovered around and disappeared. All this in just a couple of seconds.
