On several nights when there is potential to shoot the night sky, we would go out.The itinerary is tentative and may be changed by your photography mentor depending on the weather, photography opportunities available and the group dynamics. This tour requires a quorum of eight persons.
Photography Mentor: Manish Lakhani
Manish Lakhani has been mentoring photography enthusiasts for several years now, and is known for his exuberant personality, in-depth knowledge of the terrain, expedition organization skills and his keen eye for photography. Few people can boast of having travelled in the mountains like Manish has. For more than 20 years, he has explored the mountains of Asia extensively on foot, on bicycles and on two and four-wheels, often making his own path. He is a versatile photographer, with a brilliant portfolio of images of culture, heritage and landscapes across Asia.
He is a Sony Artisan (Ambassador) in India for mirrorless camera systems and a Skylum Global Brand Ambassador for Asia. His works have been regularly featured in magazines across the world. He contributes to Adobe, BBC, WWF, CNN, Lonely Planet and many others regularly.
An avid cyclist, he has made an incredible solo bicycling trip of 15,000 kilometres across India. He visited many states of India, meeting different people, experiencing diverse cultures and making some amazing photographs along the journey. He has since led many expeditions in the remote regions across Asia

Is This Photography Tour For You?
This tour is for everyone who would love to experience and photograph the Landscapes, Wildlife and Culture. The tour is designed to help participants learn the nuances of making beautiful photographs through an immersive experience in Namibia. Note that the participants are not required to be experts in photography. Beginners, as well as serious photographers, benefit through our personalized attention to photography sessions and on-field assistance. Non-photographers interested in exploring the region are welcome too. Please note that we do not offer separate non-photographer pricing.
Can I bring my non-photographer partner with me?
Yes, you can. There is much enjoyment about this tour even for people who may not be keen photographers, in seeing beautiful places and cultural experiences in Namibia. Your partner will enjoy the journey with the group. However, non-photographers should note that our itineraries are designed keeping photography in mind. We are generally slower than typical travel itineraries and don’t make a long sightseeing list. Please note that we do not offer separate non-photographer pricing.
I am not a keen photographer. But I want to join this tour with your group. Can I still join?
Yes. We visit many beautiful places in the region, and having a good time during the trip is as much on the agenda as photography is. However, non-photographers should note that our itineraries are designed keeping photography in mind. We are generally slower than typical travel itineraries and don’t make a long sightseeing list.

Namibia Photography Tour – Detailed Itinerary.
On a few nights during this tour, we may head out to photograph the night sky if the weather is found conducive for their appearance. The daily itinerary is tentative and may be changed by your photography mentor to maximize photography opportunities, depending on weather and other influencing factors.
Day 01. Arrive in Windhoek
We will be waiting for you upon arrival at Windhoek International Airport (WDH), then transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon free to recover from the long flight.
Later in the afternoon, the whole group will gather for an exquisite welcome dinner and a photo safari briefing.
Day 02. Namib-Naukluft National Park.
Today after breakfast we will drive to Namib-Naukluft National Park. In the afternoon we will enjoy the impressive red dunes of the Namib, we will go into the desert, to end the day photographing the sunset. In the evening, if the weather conditions are good, we will do an astrophotography session.
Day 03. Namib-Naukluft National Park.
After opening the gates of the park, we will head to the spectacular white clay basin of Deadvlei. In this extraordinary basin, surrounded by dunes are the skeletal remains of ancient petrified trees up to 1000 years old, forming surreal compositions, either alone or in groups.
In the evening, if the weather conditions are good, we will do an astrophotography session.
Day 04. Swakopmund.
After breakfast at the lodge, we will set off for Swakopmund, a charming colonial coastal town it is a long drive of 400km. We will arrive at the lodge and settle into our rooms. The evening is relaxing and we will go out to the town for dinner.
Day 05.Swakopmund.
Morning at leisure to enjoy the beautiful city of Swakopmund, where we can go shopping or just stroll through its German-style streets. In the afternoon, we will live a unique experience in Sandwich Harbour, where the desert and the sea meet, and we will drive through the impressive dunes in 4×4 vehicles, admiring the scenery and wildlife.
Day 06. Damaraland.
Today we continue our adventure in Namibia heading towards Damaraland.
In the afternoon we will head out in search of the last desert elephants, as well as other wildlife such as Giraffes, antelopes, and hopefully Rhinos.
In the evening, if the weather conditions are good, we will do an astrophotography session.
Day 07. Damaraland
In the morning, we will visit the rock paintings in this area, which are one of Namibia’s cultural treasures. These paintings, made by ancient hunter-gatherers, depict scenes of daily life, animals and human figures, some of which are more than 30,000 years old.
In the afternoon, we will venture out on safari to search for desert elephants, which have adapted to the arid conditions of this region. We will also have the opportunity to see other animals, such as giraffes, antelopes and perhaps rhinos.
In the evening, if the weather conditions are good, we will do an astrophotography session.
Day 08. Etosha National Park
Today, after breakfast, we will drive to Etosha National Park, stopping at a Himba village to photograph and interact with this spectacular tribe.
Etosha is one of the largest and most spectacular in Africa. The park is characterized by a huge salt pan that extends over 4,800 km² and can be seen from space.
This first day we will stay in the western part of the park, at the Dolomite Resort, an exclusive camp offering panoramic views of the plains and hills. In the afternoon, we will go on our first photo safari in the park, taking advantage of the evening light. Etosha is home to a wide variety of animals, including elephants, rhinos, lions, giraffes, zebras and gazelles.
Day 09. Etosha National Park.
Full-day open 4×4 safari in the interior of Etosha National Park. The park owes its unique landscape to a generally dry lake basin of approximately 5,000 km². Of the 114 species of mammals, several are endemic, unique and difficult to find elsewhere in Africa, and are in danger of extinction, such as the Rhinoceros and black Dik Dik, the cheetah and the black-fronted impala.
Day 10. Mount Etjo Private Reserve.
Today we continue our safari in Etosha National Park, arriving at Mount Etjo Private Reserve, a place of different landscape and conception, with private management. We will also do a tracking activity with the radio frequency of felines, accompanied by rangers of the park.
Day 11. Mount Etjo Private Reserve.
Morning and afternoon game drives in Mount Etjo Private Reserve.
Day 12. Mount Etjo to Windhoek.
After breakfast, we will drive to Windhoek. Afternoon at leisure to rest or do last-minute shopping and Farewell dinner
Day 13. Farewell to Namibia
Breakfast and transfer to Windhoek International Airport (WDH) for return flight home.

– 75% of tour fee is charged as cancellation fees for cancellation between 89 days and 60 days before the start of tour.
