Corbett Tiger Reserve – Overview
Corbett Tiger Reserve, set in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, is a breathtaking wilderness. Be it the dense forests, the glorious grasslands or the valleys of the Ramganga River, the landscapes will hold you in delight.
Tigers abound in this landscape. They offer some beautiful photography opportunities when they choose to make an appearance. And they are not the only majestic wildlife that you see here. Herds of Elephants descend on the grasslands in summer, creating one of India’s greatest photography spectacles. Critically Endangered Gharials bask on the banks of the Ramganga River. Rare Yellow-throated Martens and Fishing Cats sometimes make an appearance.
Pallas’ Fish Eagles and Grey-headed Fish Eagles rule over the river. Our drive through the forest can reveal gems like Niltavas, Long-tailed Broadbills, Blue Whistling Thrushes and many colourful birds. Sometimes, a Tawny Fish Owl suddenly materializes on a branch above you, sitting absolutely still to avoid detection.
Travel with Darter Photography to this theatre of nature where each day brings you new sightings, activities and excitement. And of course, plenty of photographs and learning on wildlife photography.
