If you have a garden at home (even if it means a few potted plants), in your apartment complex or a park near your home, make a trip there with your camera. These places not only have beautiful flowers (which you could try photographing from different angles), but also host many beautiful creatures like butterflies, spiders, dragonflies and garden lizards.
TIP: For best results, carry a macro lens or telephoto lens along with your wide-angle lens.
