Every June, we head to Zanskar Valley in Ladakh with an important focus: photograph the glittering stars in the night sky! Besides the fact that the light-pollution free landscapes and the clear weather allows us to see the skies filled with stars, we also get to photograph them against brilliant snow-peaks and glacial landscapes. There aren’t many places in India where you have such incredible night photography opportunities and can be accessed by road. And with our years of experience in photography and managing travel logistics across the Himalayas, we are able to make this journey convenient enough that – (a) we camp in places so amazing, all you have to do is to step out of your tent to find some of the finest night photography opportunities! AND (b) these places can be accessed by vehicles, without having to make any tough tiring hike, allowing you to focus all your energies into photography!

On many nights during this tour, all that we do is to get out of the tent several times, staying awake for many hours to photograph star-studded skies against the mountain landscapes! In Zanskar, the nights are a grand photography party with the stars!
It’s not just the night-skies we are after. Even during the day, plenty of time is spent photographing the landscapes, snow-filled slopes and fast-flowing streams. For a landscape-photography-lover, the times spent here are precious, productive and unforgettable!
